True Blood is an American TV drama series based on the Southern Vampire Mysteries novels by Charlaine Harris.  The Show is broadcast by HBO in the US.
The first season started in 2009 and is about a small town in Louisiana where vampires and humans co exist.  Following the creation of synthetic blood vampires are now able to live in human society but there are still prejudices and a lot of dangerous vampires.

True Blood centres on Sookie Stackhouse a waitress with telepathic powers, who falls in love with vampire Bill Compton.  She works for owner Sam Merlotte who is in love with her, but also has a secret of his own.
The series follows the two as they make their relationship work and try to interact in each others very different lives.
The first season won several awards and received critical acclaim

A teenage Jehovah’s Witness is seen fleeing the scene of his high school teachers murder, is accused of her murder. Lightmans team are called in to find out whether he did kill her and if not who did……..
