Burn Notice is a US comedy drama which premiered in 2007 on the USA Network
The series follows Special Agent Michael Westen who is double crossed by
his own agency in Nigeria and is left fleeing for his life.
After getting out of a very sticky situation he ends up in Miami where he finds out he has been given a Burn Notice – this is a mark issued by your agency telling that you are unreliable and must be exterminated.
He then finds out that he cant leave Miami otherwise he will be hot property and will be hunted down and killed.

To fund his own investigation into why he has been burned Michael turns private investigator to the citizens of Miami and must contest with their issues as well as dealing with his own family.
